My $.50 Shoes

I was wandering around Wal-Mart last Thursday and came across these little black beauties in a sale bin for $.50. Thanking God for giving me small feet, I happily placed the pair in my big blue basket. Once home I spouted off my great find to husband, he was a little less excited, but never the less pleased with my frugal find

I knew, that from the moment I bought these shoes that they would become my next craft project. On Saturday I drove to Jo-Ann fabrics in search of the perfect fabric for my shoes. To my excitement I found left-over, discounted, leopard suede fabric!

And so, this is what my shoes became.

... while I was at Jo-Anns I also picked up a 1/4 yard of a lusty satin red. So, I whiped out my needle and thread and made a very voluminous shiny bow.

I think these shoes are going to nicely brighten up my skinny jeans, and bring some flare to my hum bum office wardrobe.
